To ensure that you'd like to continue on the green journey with us and receive our newsletter, you don't need to do anything, you will officially be a FRIEND of Go Greener! But if you wish to unsubscribe, then do so by emailing us.
However, if you'd like to do more and can commit to becoming a full MEMBER, email us now so we can find out the best way to bring you on board! See the list at the end of this bulletin for some ideas about the kind of volunteers we are looking for.
Go Greener Community Orchard launch
We cordially invite you to attend our Community Orchard launch event on Wednesday 8th February 2012 at Rouken Glen Park Pavillion 9.30am until 12.30pm. This will be an important historic legacy for future generations. Hope you will make every effort to be there from the launch!
Go Greener is honoured and priviledged to welcome Chris Hines MBE to the launch of the Community Orchard event in Rouken Glen Park.
Chris Hines MBE is a co founder and the brains behind the Eden project.

Volunteers opportunities many ways you can help!
Can you help in any of the following roles?
Energy - someone with knowledge of this industry sector in particular with ideas about using the modern approach to conservation and sustainability
Marketing - this might appeal to a graduate in between university and finding a job or alternatively someone who is retired, who had previous experience in this field and believes in conservation
Sponsorship - this role will help to ensure that Go Greener can reach out to all the businesses and households in East Renfrewshire and would attract someone who has had sales, accounting or fundraising experience
Admin - would appeal to someone who believes in the principles of Go Greener and has a few hours a week to devote to supporting the movements objectives
Transport - someone who believes that they can help to persuade people to use more sustainable methods of transport
Waste - someone to help with waste awareness initiatives

Climate Change Week - schools event planned
Go Greener is pleased to announce working with ERC Education Department were able to secure fund from Education Scotland to host a Global citizenship event on 13 March 2012. Chair Glyn Jones also schools team co-ordinator states that "Go Greener has been very successful at ensuring East Renfrewshire has the high participation rate of Green flags in primary schools. This event will help energise secondary schools to gain Green flag status".
