It was a drizzly Saturday morning when the dambusters gathered in East Renfrewshire to start the rubbish raid...
Along with the Countryside Rangers, 11 volunteers including Go Greener chairman, Councillor Eddie Phillips set off from St Luke’s High School armed with litter pickers and a sense of community pride.
In total approximately 40 bags of rubbish were collected along with an assortment of bulkier items.
Countryside Ranger, Eilidh Milne says “It was brilliant that volunteers came out on such a miserable morning to take part. We managed to make a massive difference in only a couple of hours. Thanks to those involved – a dam good effort was made by all!”
